Following the previous successful organizations of The National Conference on GIS Application  from 2009 to 2022, Vietnam National University of Agriculture will host the conference in 2023 with the theme “GIS Application: Digital transformation in natural resource and environmental management”.

The major objective is to create a symposium for scientists, managers, and stakeholders to exchange research achievements and applications of GIS and remote sensing technology in a variety of related domains such as managing environment and natural resources, monitoring and reducing damage caused by natural disasters in order to propose research and development orientations for GIS and remote sensing technology in the future. In addition, the annual conference also provides an occasion to develop networks as well as expand research and education cooperation with domestic and foreign partners.
